This year, we invite you to join us for a special event that promises to be a vibrant tapestry of experiences, creativity, and camaraderie: Sketches Of Minnesota: Glencoe. Do you have a cherished memory or an inspiring story about McLeod County? This is the perfect place to voice it. Sit down with fellow community members and share your experiences, listen to others, and weave a rich tapestry of McLeod County’s history and heritage. This is a chance to connect on a deeper level, learning about the different paths that have led us all to this point.
Improv Show with Talented Performers
One of the standout activities of the day will be the improv show. This will be a collective show, based on your input, to symbolize what really is McLeod County. The things learned in the story sharing piece of the evening will help the performers create a dazzling show. Ultimately, the content created from all of the Sketches of Minnesota events will be combined into one show in the the Twin Cities at a later date. This will give our community a lasting testament to the state of our shared values and vision for the future.
Food and Festivities
No community event would be complete without an array of delicious food. Sketches Of Minnesota: Glencoe will feature food and desert for us to connect over. Bonding over food is truly the Minnesota way. So let The Minnesota Humanities Center, Danger Boat productions, and McLeod For Tomorrow sponsor the meal and entertainment for the evening.

While Sketches Of Minnesota: Glencoe is a time to celebrate, it’s also an opportunity to think about the future of our community. Throughout the day, there will be discussion groups focused on community improvement, town pride, and opportunities to share your story.
